Levonorgestrel (Brand Name: Plan B) is used for preventing pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse or suspected birth control failure.
Levonorgestrel is a progestin. How it works is not fully known. It may prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, altering transport of sperm or eggs to prevent fertilization, or altering the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation should fertilization occur.


Precautions

Levonorgestrel will not end an existing pregnancy. Do not use Levonorgestrel if you are pregnant. Levonorgestrel is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Levonorgestrel , check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

If you have prostate problems or high blood pressure for which you take medicines called alpha blockers you should NOT use Lovegra as the 100mg dose may be too high for you. Lovegra does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.

The most common side effects of Lovegra are headache, facial flushing, and upset stomach. Less commonly, bluish vision, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light may briefly occur.
